This is a picture of my mother and I taken by me. My mom had come to visit for Khadijah’s grandmother’s surprise birthday party. I decided to post this picture because my mother is/has a very big/important part in my life. She is the best mother a girl could ask for. She’s loving, patient, caring, giving, and selfless. She loves unconditionally and gives without expecting to receive. I really like how similar our colors are in this picture.

This photo was taken by a family that we met while on vacation. For our last spring break we decided to take a trip together. After constant back and forth about where we were gonna go, we finally came to a decision. We were going to go on a five day cruise to the Bahamas. We ate and drank everything in sight. In this particular photo, our cruise ship had docked and we had in Nassau (where our excursion was). Our excursion included free beach activities, a buffet, and unlimited drinks at a private beach. Saying that this excursion was fun is an understatement. I’m not sure who came up with the idea for this picture, but I love it. This trip was probably our last vacation together for a while and I’mm happy we made the most of it. This picture represents the friendship and sisterhood that has grown over the past 4 years.

This is a photo that I took myself. As of recent, Cribbs Kitchen accepts Terrier bucks. Because of this, my teammates and me come and eat here quite often. Even though I’ve been to Cribbs on numerous occasions, I’ve almost always been at night. One day, one of my teammates and I decided to go to Cribbs for lunch and I immediately noticed the side of the building. The shades of orange, red, and white look really beautiful on the red brick. Even though I don’t know exactly what it is, I believe that it’s a flower. It almost looks like (whatever it maybe) it’s opening its mouth and pieces of itself are coming out. It actually reminds be of a dandelion. More specifically, how you blow a dandelion and as you blow it pieces of it blow away and the flower comes apart.
These particular pictures I took myself. I was walking through downtown Spartanburg and stumbled upon a little jewel. In the middle of the area, there’s a small, cute, and free mini golf/putt putt course. This sign in my opinion old, but full of character. The different color blues compliment each other.
The mini golf course has around six holes and is filled with character. One section of the golf course has a beacon mini building and a bicycle. The main colors of this particular section are yellow, green, and red. Each part has a small caption that explains its significance. Behind the actual mini golf course is a name of (I’m assuming) the people who have donated or people who sponsor the golf course. Ironically Wofford College was on of the names on that list. The other side is primarily the same in terms or colors. It has a section (of the golf course) that says “love where you live”, one is a bridge, and the other is some type of phrase.
What I love most about this mini golf course is its location and all the different parts to it. The location, like mentioned before, is on a random street in downtown Spartanburg. If I hadn’t just walked through downtown I would have never found, let alone notice this place. It’s an activity in the city that anybody can participate in or do for free. The colors of the golf course immediately draw your attention to it. Lastly, I love how the different parts of the golf course celebrate Spartanburg. The Beacon sign clearly celebrates the famous beacon restaurant. The bridge reminds me of the bridge right above/near Glendale. The “Love Where You Live” sign just reminds me of how wonderful Spartanburg is and how people should love the city they’re in.
